Money's in the Chase is the first episode of GLOW. It was released on Netflix on June 23, 2017.

Synopsis

On the day of the big taping, Sam attends to unfinished personal business, while Ruth scramble to make last-minute changes to the lineup.

Plot

As the show at the Hayworth Hotel nears, Sam tries to mend things with Justine. Debbie bails on the show to return to Eagan. Ruth takes charge.

The event is not well attended, so the ladies pay several moviegoers from across the street to watch the show. Glen Kitnick informs Cherry that she has secured the lead in the stations new cop drama series, but she will have to quit GLOW.

The event does not start well. Arthie Premkumar's gimmick for being "Beirut the Mad Bomber" does not go down well, and Rhonda is struck with a beer can thrown from the audience.

Debbie and Mark are in the audience, and Sam calls her a quitter. Carmen overcomes her stage fright when her family show up and support her. The main event is a tag team match, featuring Ruth and Jenny vs Dawn and Stacey. Ruth and Jenny win, only for Ruth to double cross her teammate and steal the GLOW crown.

Debbie interrupts the coronation to challenge Ruth to a match, and beats her to become the champion. However, Tammé steals the crown as part of Sam's effort to continue the storyline.
